What we've learned.
What buyers in this vertical consistently get wrong — and what we have actually seen in production.
Observation · 01
Fundraiser tees need to clear cost-of-goods before they generate a dollar for the cause. Pick a blank that's comfortable enough to be re-worn — donors keep what they like.
Observation · 02
Volunteer apparel is dual-purpose: it identifies staff on event day, and it becomes wearable thank-you merch afterward. Design for both lives.
Observation · 03
Donor recognition pieces — embroidered jackets, engraved awards, board-member polos — carry more weight than a generic logo tee. Spend the budget where the relationship is.

Fundraiser tees & event apparel
The fundraiser tee is the workhorse SKU of nonprofit apparel — the shirt that has to clear cost-of-goods, look good enough that donors want to wear it again, and ship in time for the walk, gala, or community event. DTF handles multi-color logos and photographic artwork without screen-setup minimums, which matters when the print run is 80 shirts, not 800.
- DTF for multi-color mission logos and event artwork
- Soft, comfortable blanks donors actually re-wear
- Rush production available for time-sensitive events

Volunteer apparel — event day & afterward
Volunteer apparel does double duty: on event day, the shirt or vest identifies staff so attendees know who to ask; afterward, it becomes wearable thank-you merch. Design for both — color-block the volunteer shirt against the donor tee, but use the same brand mark so the volunteer keeps wearing it post-event.
- Color-blocked volunteer tees for event-day visibility
- Reflective hi-vis vests for outdoor events when needed
- Same brand mark across donor + volunteer tees

Donor recognition & board apparel
Board members, major donors, and long-tenure volunteers carry more brand weight than a generic logo tee. Embroidered polos, soft-shell jackets, and quarter-zips — the same SKUs corporate accounts use for client-facing staff — turn donor recognition into something that gets worn off-site and seen.
- Embroidered quarter-zips and polos for board members
- Soft-shell jackets for major-donor recognition
- Embroidered crest at left chest, no front-of-shirt logo

Event drinkware & swag
Laser-engraved tumblers, branded water bottles, and event giveaways for gala goody bags, walk registration packets, and donor appreciation. Engraving holds up better than print on metal drinkware — it won't fade through a dishwasher cycle, which matters when the goal is keeping your brand on a donor's desk for years.
- Laser-engraved tumblers and water bottles
- Branded totes for gala goody bags
- Engraved awards for donor recognition events

FAQ
Frequently asked.
Short answers to the questions buyers in this industry ask first.
Can you handle pre-order fundraising — where donors buy the shirt as the donation?+
Yes. The pattern works best with a 2–3 week pre-order window, then a single production run sized to the orders received. We've helped community groups, school PTAs, and youth-sports leagues turn the shirt itself into the fundraising vehicle. Set the price 2–3x the cost-of-goods so the margin funds the cause.
What's a comfortable blank for a fundraiser tee donors actually re-wear?+
Bella+Canvas 3001 (ringspun, soft, fitted) and Comfort Colors 1717 (heavyweight, garment-dyed, vintage feel) are the two most-reordered fundraiser blanks. Skip the basic 100% cotton tee — donors put it in the donation pile within a year. The right blank is the difference between a one-event shirt and a brand impression that lasts.
Do you offer nonprofit pricing?+
We don't run a formal nonprofit discount, but our pricing structure is already simple: garment cost × 1.5, plus $10 for the first decoration location and $4 for each additional. No setup fees, no screen charges, no order minimums. For larger fundraiser runs (200+ pieces) we can quote tighter margins — ask in the quote form.
Can you handle a rush event run?+
Yes, when the calendar allows. 2-week and 3-week turns are standard. Same-week rush is possible on stocked blanks with simple decoration — we'll quote it honestly. The honest constraint is digitizing time for new embroidery logos; if you're rushing, lead with DTF and skip embroidery on the rush items.
Can you pre-pack volunteer packets with shirt + cap + name badge?+
Yes. Send us the volunteer roster (with shirt size) and we'll pre-pack each packet — shirt, cap, branded swag, name badge — labeled by name, delivered to your office or directly to the event venue. It saves your volunteer coordinator a half-day of packing.
