In short

On The Island Apparel produces corporate gifts in Huntington, NY — laser-engraved drinkware, leather portfolios, plaques, slate and wood awards, and embroidered apparel. We do not screen-print corporate gifts; decoration is etched into the substrate or stitched into the fabric, so the branding outlasts the gift itself. Single-piece minimum, no setup fees, standard 72-hour production for in-stock items, with one point of contact for ongoing programs.

Eight ways businesses use corporate gifting

Every category below is something we produce regularly. Pricing ranges are reference points, not formulas — every quote is tailored to item, materials, and quantity.

01Welcome Kits

Employee Onboarding Gifts

A new hire's first week sets the tone for the next five years. A thoughtful onboarding kit — a branded tumbler the employee actually uses every morning, a soft, properly-sized tee, and a sturdy tote for the laptop — communicates more about a company than any orientation slide deck. We assemble welcome kits per recipient using our in-house laser engraving and embroidery, so the branding looks like an intentional design choice rather than a screen-printed afterthought. Most clients pick a tumbler plus apparel piece in the $40–$75 range per kit, but we can scale up for executive hires or down for hourly roles. We can drop-ship kits to remote employees, hold inventory for ongoing hires, or fulfill in batches as your headcount grows.

  • Branded tumbler + embroidered tee + canvas tote = ~$45–$80/kit typical
  • Drop-ship to remote hires or hold for on-site onboarding days
  • Add personalization (employee name, start date) on the tumbler
  • Recurring program option — we hold inventory, ship as hires happen
02Retention + Relationship

Client Thank-You Gifts

When a client closes a major contract, refers a deal, or hits a one-year mark, a generic gift card lands in a junk drawer. An engraved leather portfolio with their name, a polished tumbler with your logo and theirs side-by-side, or a slate-and-wood plaque commemorating the engagement gets kept on a desk for years. We laser-engrave leather portfolios, padfolios, and trifold wallets in-house — meaning we can do single-piece orders with names, dates, or messages without setup fees. Typical price points: a high-quality engraved tumbler runs $35–$60; a leather portfolio runs $70–$150; a custom plaque runs $80–$200+; matched two-piece gift sets typically land in the $100–$175 range with packaging. Because we produce locally, you can place a thank-you gift today and have it in your client's hands by week's end.

  • Single-piece engraving — no minimum, no setup fees
  • Personalize with recipient name, deal date, or short message
  • Leather portfolios, tumblers, plaques, slate display pieces
  • Standard 72-hour production; rush available
03Themed Annual Programs

Holiday Gifts for Staff

Holiday gifting season is a logistics problem disguised as a thoughtful gesture. Companies start the planning conversation in October and end up panic-buying generic chocolate boxes in mid-December that everyone forgets about by January. We run holiday gift programs differently: a single point-of-contact, a fixed budget per employee, a curated bundle theme (cozy: blanket + tumbler; useful: jacket + leather notebook; festive: themed mug + ornament + treat), and a delivery calendar agreed up front so nothing depends on last-minute heroics. Bundles are typically priced $30 to $120 per employee depending on theme and headcount. We assemble each bundle in our Huntington, NY production space, individually box and tag them with a printed insert, and either ship direct-to-home for remote teams or pallet-deliver to your office.

  • Curated themed bundles — cozy, useful, festive, premium
  • Individual gift boxing + printed insert card included
  • Ship-to-home for remote staff or pallet to your office
  • Lock budget early; we handle sourcing, assembly, fulfillment
04Company-Wide Gear

Sales Kickoff + Event Gifts

Sales kickoffs, annual meetings, and leadership offsites benefit from gear that signals a moment. A premium embroidered softshell jacket with the year and event name, paired with a matching insulated tumbler, becomes the unofficial uniform of the next twelve months — and an instant photo backdrop for the inevitable group shot. We embroider jackets, polos, vests, and quarter-zips in-house, which means turnaround is measured in days, not weeks, and the stitch quality matches what you'd expect from a higher-tier manufacturer rather than a bulk drop-ship printer. Common kickoff combos run $75–$160 per attendee. We can pre-size by name using a roster you provide, individually bag each set, and deliver everything sorted by team or region so registration day stays calm and on schedule.

  • Embroidered jacket + tumbler combo — typical $75–$160/person
  • Pre-size by name from your attendee roster
  • Individually labeled, sorted by team for easy hand-off
  • Rush options for last-minute additions
05Career Recognition

Retirement + Milestone Gifts

Twenty-five years at a company deserves more than a card and a slice of supermarket cake. Laser-engraved plaques on solid walnut or rosewood, premium tumblers etched with a service date and the recipient's name, or an engraved leather portfolio that goes home on the last day — these are the gifts that end up on a mantelpiece rather than in a drawer. We engrave directly into wood, brass plates, leather, slate, and metal; the engraving is permanent, the substrate is real material (not photo-printed onto plastic), and the result reads as a serious recognition piece. Pricing varies: engraved tumblers $30–$60; walnut plaques with brass plates $90–$200; premium executive-grade gifts $200+. Lead time is typically 5–7 business days for engraved hardwood pieces.

  • Walnut, rosewood, slate, brass — real materials, permanent marks
  • Personalize with name, dates, service tenure, custom message
  • Single-piece minimum — no need to order in lots
  • 5–7 day lead time on engraved hardwood plaques
06B2B Relationship Building

Partnership + Referral Gifts

When a referral partner sends a six-figure deal your way, a $20 swag bag is insulting. Partnership-grade gifts sit at the intersection of useful, premium, and unmistakably branded — without being a billboard for your logo. Engraved leather goods, polished metal awards, premium drinkware with subtle co-branding, and curated gift sets all signal that the relationship is taken seriously by the people at the top of your company. We produce in small batches (often 1–25 pieces), pair items into matched sets, and individually gift-box each one with hand-tied tissue and a printed card from your team. Common partnership tiers we produce: introductory ($50–$100), mid-tier ($100–$200), strategic ($200–$500+). Each is designed to be sent at a specific relationship moment — first deal, renewal, year-end, or major joint announcement.

  • Tiered programs — intro, mid, strategic referral partner gifts
  • Subtle co-branding so the gift reads as premium, not promo
  • Individually gift-boxed with printed card from your team
  • Drop-ship directly to recipient or batch to your office
07Swag That Gets Kept

Trade Show + Booth Gifts

Most trade show swag ends up in a hotel trash can before the attendee flies home. The exceptions: drinkware they actually drink from, leather goods they put in a pocket, and tools they use the next workday. We design booth gifting tiers — a lightweight item for badge scans, a mid-tier item for qualified leads, and a premium item for VIP appointments — so your booth team has a clear story for each interaction. Common combinations include a branded bottle opener keychain for walk-ups, an insulated tumbler for demo attendees, and an engraved leather portfolio for booked meetings. We can ship pallets directly to the show site, label by box for easy unloading, and handle the post-show inventory return or storage.

  • Tiered swag — walk-up, qualified, VIP appointment
  • Drinkware, leather, keychains, openers, branded notebooks
  • Direct ship to show site; we coordinate with your decorator
  • Post-show inventory return or storage for next event
08Premium Materials

Executive + C-Suite Gifts

Executive-level gifting is governed by a single rule: the gift has to look at least as expensive as the relationship it represents. We produce executive gifts using premium leather, polished metal, hardwood, and finished slate — materials that age well and feel substantial in the hand of the person opening the box. The laser engraving on these pieces is deep, clean, and intentional; no foil stamping, no printed labels, no laminated logos that peel after a year on a desk. Common executive pieces: hardwood-and-brass desk plaques, full-grain leather portfolios with engraved monograms, and matched gift sets pairing a premium tumbler with an engraved bottle opener. Pricing typically starts at $150 per gift and scales based on materials, complexity, and packaging. Each piece is hand-finished, individually inspected, and gift-boxed before it leaves Huntington.

  • Premium leather, hardwood, polished metal, finished slate
  • Engraved monograms, deal-specific dates, custom messages
  • Hand-finished, inspected, gift-boxed before shipment
  • Typical entry $150; scales to $500+ for matched sets

Why Long Island production matters for corporate gifting

Most corporate gifting companies are middlemen — orders are routed to overseas printers or third-party distributors, decorated wherever capacity is cheapest that week, and shipped through carriers you never speak to. The result is three-to-four-week lead times, inconsistent decoration quality, and customer-service handoffs that disappear into email.

On The Island Apparel produces corporate gifts in Huntington, NY. Our laser engraver, embroidery machines, and DTF equipment are in one building, run by people we trained, on a schedule we control. When a Long Island company calls us on Monday for a retirement plaque, it’s engraved Tuesday and delivered Wednesday. When a Manhattan firm needs 200 embroidered welcome kits assembled and individually boxed, the same person manages the project from quote to ship.

We’re not the largest gifting company you can hire. We are the one whose owner answers the phone, whose production floor you can visit, and whose lead times you can verify. For corporate gifting — where the gesture matters as much as the gift — that proximity is the point.

Corporate gifting FAQ

Common questions from procurement, HR, marketing, and executive assistants planning gift programs.

What's your minimum order for a corporate gift?+

There is no minimum. We routinely engrave single pieces — a thank-you tumbler for one client, a retirement plaque for one employee, a welcome kit for one new hire. Because everything is laser-engraved or embroidered in-house, we don't have setup fees that force a minimum. Single-piece orders take the same standard production window as larger batches.

What's typical turnaround on a corporate gift order?+

Standard production is 72 hours for in-stock laser and embroidery work, with shipping or pickup after that. Engraved hardwood plaques and complex multi-component bundles typically take 5–7 business days. Bulk programs (50+ kits with assembly and individual gift-boxing) usually run 7–14 business days depending on materials in stock. Rush options are available for time-critical events.

How do you price corporate gifts?+

Pricing depends on the item, materials, decoration method, and quantity — there's no honest one-line answer. We quote each project within one business day. As reference: branded drinkware typically falls in the $25–$60 range per piece, embroidered apparel pieces in the $35–$120 range, leather gifts $50–$200, executive pieces $150–$500+. Larger quantities and simpler decoration bring per-unit cost down.

Can you handle multi-item gift kits or bundles?+

Yes — this is one of the things we do most often. A typical kit might combine a branded tumbler, an embroidered tee, a leather notebook, and a printed insert card. We source the components, decorate them in-house, hand-assemble each kit, individually gift-box them, and ship them out. You provide the recipient list; we handle the rest.

Do you offer individual gift packaging?+

Yes. Every gift can be individually boxed with hand-tied tissue, a printed insert card with your company's message, and a recipient label if you want it personalized. Gift packaging adds a small per-unit cost (typically $3–$8 per gift depending on box style) and we'll quote it as a line item so you can choose.

Can you handle branded gift cards or certificates?+

We don't issue or process gift cards directly. For programs where employees or clients choose their own gift, the common approach is to give a printed redemption certificate that we co-brand with your logo. Recipients then redeem with us for a gift in their tier. This works well for sales incentive programs and milestone recognition.

Can you drop-ship gifts directly to individual recipients?+

Yes — drop-shipping is a standard service. You provide the recipient list (name, address, optional personalization). We label each gift, drop it in the carrier's hands, and provide tracking back to you. This is the most efficient setup for remote teams, distributed sales kickoffs, and client gifting to multiple cities.

Can we upload an employee directory for personalized gifts?+

Yes. Send a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) with names, addresses, sizes if relevant, and any personalization fields (start date, milestone year, etc.). We import it, validate addresses where needed, and use it to drive engraving, sizing, packing, and shipping. We keep recipient lists confidential and delete them after the job ships unless you ask us to hold them for a recurring program.

What gift budget should we plan for per recipient?+

Common reference ranges: $25–$50 for entry-level gifts (branded drinkware, simple swag), $50–$150 for mid-tier gifts (kits, embroidered apparel, engraved leather), $150+ for executive and milestone gifts (hardwood plaques, premium leather portfolios, matched gift sets). Holiday programs often land around $30–$75 per employee. We'll quote against whatever budget you're working with — the answer scales.

Do you offer samples before we commit to a program?+

Yes for paid samples; we'll engrave or embroider a single piece in your branding so you can evaluate decoration quality before committing to a larger run. Sample fee is typically refunded against the production order if you move forward. For unbranded blanks, we can usually loan a sample from inventory.

What are lead times for popular items like tumblers, jackets, and plaques?+

Tumblers and drinkware: typically 72 hours from artwork approval. Embroidered apparel (polos, jackets, vests): 5–7 business days depending on stock. Engraved hardwood plaques: 5–7 business days. Multi-item assembled gift kits: 7–14 business days. These are standard lead times; expedited service is available for most categories.

Do you offer unbranded gift options for situations where branding isn't appropriate?+

Yes. Some corporate gifting moments — bereavement, certain executive recognition, partnership thank-yous — call for an unbranded gift, or one personalized only to the recipient. We'll engrave just a name, monogram, or message without any company logo, and use plain gift packaging.

Do you run recurring corporate gift programs?+

Yes. Many of our clients have ongoing programs: new-hire welcome kits shipped weekly, monthly sales-incentive recognition, quarterly client appreciation, annual holiday programs. We hold inventory in our Huntington facility, ship as triggers happen, and provide monthly billing and usage reports. A single account contact handles your program end-to-end.

Do you ship corporate gifts internationally?+

Domestic US shipping only at this time. We can ship to all 50 states and US territories. For programs with international recipients, the standard workaround is to ship to a domestic hub (your office, a fulfillment partner) for onward distribution. We don't currently handle customs paperwork or international carrier accounts.

How does invoicing and payment work for corporate accounts?+

Standard corporate invoicing on company letterhead, payable by ACH, check, or credit card. For recurring programs we set up monthly billing with itemized usage reports. New accounts typically pay 50% deposit / 50% on completion; established accounts move to net-30 terms after the first few orders. We provide W-9 and any vendor onboarding paperwork your AP team needs.
