Every order on this page is engraved at our Huntington, NY shop. From there we offer three ways to get the finished pieces to you, depending on where on Long Island you are:

In-shop drop-off + pickup — Huntington

Bring the item in, bring the artwork, pick it up engraved. Common for one-off gifts, customer-supplied tumblers and awards, and same-week corporate runs where someone is local enough to handle it in person.

Local courier — nearby Long Island towns

For Huntington-adjacent towns (Smithtown, Northport, Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, Commack, Melville, Greenlawn, Dix Hills, and similar) we can arrange courier pickup or delivery on most orders. Faster than ground shipping, no airport runaround.

Ground shipping — Nassau, Suffolk, the Hamptons

For the rest of Long Island — and for buyers who'd rather not drive — orders ship UPS or USPS ground from our Huntington location. Most Long Island ZIPs are 1-business-day ground. The East End (Riverhead, Southampton, East Hampton) is typically 1-2 days.

Use cases

Six Long Island engraving programs we run weekly

The categories below cover the majority of Long Island engraving work — corporate gifting, branded drinkware, recognition, weddings, school awards, and recurring client-gift programs.

Long Island corporate gifts

Most of our highest-repeat work is corporate gifting — Nassau and Suffolk businesses sending branded tumblers, leatherette journals, and engraved valets to clients, employees, vendors, and prospects. The pattern is usually the same: a buyer has a list of 25 to 250 recipients, a deadline tied to a holiday or a client event, and a logo file that hasn't been touched since the rebrand. We handle the artwork prep, propose two or three item options at a few price bands, engrave, kit, and ship or hold for pickup.

Single-item gifts run on the same machine as the 250-piece programs. If you only need one engraved tumbler for a board member, we'll quote it the same day. If you need 250 engraved leather journals for a sales-kickoff at a Long Island venue, we'll quote it the same day too — and turn them in a week to ten business days depending on artwork approval and item sourcing. No setup fees, no minimums, no per-item rush charge on most orders.

Long Island restaurant + bar branded drinkware

Huntington, Patchogue, Port Jefferson, Long Beach, Bay Shore — every Long Island restaurant strip we've worked has at least one operator who wants their logo on a tumbler, pint glass, growler, or coaster. Laser engraving fits this use case for one specific reason: the mark is in the material, not on top of it. A printed logo on a pint glass scratches off in the bar dishwasher inside a month. A laser-engraved mark does not.

The most common configuration is a stainless tumbler or a pint glass with the logo on one face and a tagline or location on the other. We can do single-color art (everything laser does is single-tone by physics) but most restaurant brands actually read better as a clean monochromatic etch — it looks more crafted, less promotional. Minimums are flexible: 12 glasses for a private dining table, 200 tumblers for a brewery release, 50 growlers for a takeaway program — all run the same way.

Long Island employee recognition + awards

Recognition is the category laser engraving was invented for. Service-anniversary plaques, top-performer awards, retirement gifts, safety milestones, sales-quota achievements — these are all moments where the buyer cares about how the item feels in the recipient's hands. A printed sticker on a trophy reads cheap. A burned-in engraving on a rosewood plaque or an art-glass award reads like the company actually invested in the moment.

We run a lot of perpetual plaques for Long Island companies that recognize an annual top performer — one base plaque, one engraved brass plate added each year. We also do single-piece milestone awards (5/10/15/20-year service), executive retirement crystal, and team-achievement clusters where a single recognition event hands out 12 to 30 awards at once. Lead time is typically 5 to 10 business days after artwork approval. Rush is available — call before you submit if you need it faster.

Long Island wedding + event personalized gifts

Long Island wedding work is heavy on personalization. Engraved cake servers, his-and-hers leatherette journals, groomsmen flasks, bridesmaid valet trays, engraved wine boxes, and personalized coaster sets are the recurring asks — typically with names, a date, and a small monogram. The volumes are small (12 to 30 pieces) and the deadlines are real (the wedding is the wedding).

Beyond weddings, we engrave gifts for sweet-sixteens, bar/bat mitzvahs, milestone birthdays, baby showers, and corporate event giveaways — the kind of pieces a Long Island event planner needs to source three to four weeks before the event with confidence in turnaround. Single-piece personalization (one person's name, one date) runs on the same line as the batch jobs. Bring your own item if you have something specific in mind — most leather, wood, slate, glass, and stainless will engrave; we'll confirm before you ship it over.

Personalized gift options

Long Island school + sports team awards

Nassau and Suffolk school districts, club teams, travel programs, and rec leagues all run annual awards programs. The usual ask is a set of 15 to 40 awards — MVP, most improved, coach's award, sportsmanship — produced once a season, ideally turned around inside two weeks. We engrave on rosewood plaques, leatherette patches, brass plates, anodized aluminum, and acrylic and art-glass awards depending on the budget per piece and the look the program wants.

Leatherette hat patches for travel teams are a separate ask — we can engrave 50+ matching patches with a team logo and adhere them to caps your program supplies, or we can source the caps too. For end-of-season banquets, perpetual recognition plaques (one plaque, one new engraved plate per year of winners) keep costs predictable across seasons. Single-piece replacement plates — coach lost the original — run same-week.

Long Island real-estate + financial-services client gifts

Real-estate closing gifts and financial-advisor client appreciation are the steadiest gift programs we run. Long Island real-estate teams send engraved cutting boards, slate cheese boards, or wine-stopper sets to recent buyers; financial advisors send engraved leather journals or executive valets to top accounts at year-end; mortgage brokers and title companies send branded barware to referral partners. The volumes are small per order but they recur quarterly or by close.

The thing this audience cares about most is consistency — the gift in March should look like the gift in October. We keep notes on past orders so the second batch matches the first: same item, same engraving placement, same artwork file. We also handle individual sender personalization (the agent's name on one side, the client's name on the other) without re-quoting every order. Most of these run as recurring drop-shippable programs for teams that want to set it up once and forget it.

Why local matters

Why local matters

If you're a Long Island business sourcing engraved gifts, the trade-off against a national online engraving fulfiller is real: those operations are usually three to four weeks from order to delivery, charge setup fees, and require you to wait through a customs or warehouse step before anything ships. We're running the laser in Huntington — most Nassau and Suffolk addresses are one business day on UPS or USPS ground from our shop, and Huntington-adjacent buyers can drop off and pick up the same week.

There's also the artwork loop. Vector files don't always come back from a national fulfiller looking the way you expected. When the engraving happens 30 miles from you and you can call the shop, the proof loop is hours, not days. That alone changes what's possible inside a tight event deadline.

Capability

Materials we engrave, and materials we don’t

CO2 laser engraving handles a specific list of materials well — and a specific list not at all. The non-engraveable list is shorter than people expect, but it matters: cotton and fabric apparel goes through a different machine entirely.

Materials we engrave

  • Leather + faux leather (leatherette)Burn-in mark, ages well
  • SlateHigh contrast white-on-dark etch
  • Wood — rosewood, alder, maple, walnut, bamboo
  • Glass — pint, tumbler, growler, art-glass awardsFrosted etch
  • Anodized stainless steelSilver mark on dark anodizing
  • Anodized + bare aluminumIndustrial tags, nameplates
  • Powder-coated metalRemoves the powder cleanly to base metal
  • AcrylicFrosted etch, popular for awards

Materials we don’t engrave

  • Reflective vinylLaser distorts the reflective layer
  • Soft plastics that melt or off-gasNot engraveable on a CO2 laser

FAQ

Long Island laser engraving — common questions

13 questions covering service area, turnaround, minimums, materials, artwork, and customer-supplied items.

What towns on Long Island do you serve?

All of Nassau and Suffolk counties. The most frequent are Hempstead, Brookhaven, Islip, Oyster Bay, Babylon, Smithtown, Huntington, Massapequa, Levittown, Hicksville, Long Beach, Glen Cove, Riverhead, Southampton, and East Hampton — but we ship anywhere on Long Island and across the tri-state from our Huntington, NY shop.

Can I drop off and pick up in person?

Yes — our shop is in Huntington, NY. In-shop drop-off and pickup is common for single-piece personalization, customer-supplied items (tumblers, awards), and same-week corporate gift runs. Reach out before you come by so we can confirm the item is engraveable and queue it.

Do you offer local courier or delivery on Long Island?

For Huntington-adjacent towns (Smithtown, Northport, Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, Commack, Melville, Greenlawn, Dix Hills, and similar) we can usually arrange courier pickup or delivery. For the rest of Long Island we use UPS or USPS ground, which is typically 1 business day to most Nassau and Suffolk ZIPs and 1-2 days to the East End.

What is the typical turnaround for laser engraving orders?

Most orders ship or are ready for pickup in 5 to 10 business days after artwork approval. Single-piece personalization can often turn faster. Larger corporate gift runs depend on item sourcing — if it's a stock item in our supply chain, it's still the same window. Rush is available on most orders; flag it when you submit.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Single-piece personalization is common — one tumbler, one award, one journal. Larger runs share setup time so per-piece effort comes down on quantity, but there is no minimum that gates the door.

How much does laser engraving cost?

It depends on the item, the artwork, and the number of engraving locations — we quote each order individually within one business day of receiving the request. Send the item (or describe it), the artwork file, the quantity, and the deadline and we'll come back with a written number.

What materials engrave well, and which don't?

Engraves cleanly: leather and leatherette, slate, wood (rosewood, alder, maple, walnut, bamboo), glass, anodized stainless, anodized and bare aluminum, powder-coated metal, and acrylic. Does not engrave: cotton, fleece, polyester, or any fabric (use DTF printing or embroidery instead); reflective vinyl; soft plastics that melt or off-gas.

Can I bring my own tumbler, award, or item to be engraved?

Yes for most items. Send us a photo or the product page before you drop it off so we can confirm the material engraves (some powder-coats and anodizings behave differently than they look). Customer-supplied items are common for unique awards, family heirlooms, and brand items that already match a uniform.

What artwork files do you need?

Vector files preferred — AI, SVG, EPS, or vector PDF. The laser cuts paths, not pixels, so raster files (PNG, JPG) get traced first. If you only have a raster logo, send it anyway — we'll vectorize logo-only artwork at no charge before the laser fires.

Do you do single-piece personalization, like one name on one gift?

Yes — this is one of the most common orders we run. A single engraved tumbler, journal, or award for a birthday, wedding, retirement, or thank-you gift goes through the same machine as the corporate runs. No minimum.

Is laser engraving permanent? Will the mark wear off?

Permanent. The laser burns or etches into the material itself, so there is no surface coating that can scratch, peel, fade, or wash away. On stainless drinkware the mark survives the dishwasher indefinitely; on leather the mark deepens slightly as the leather ages.

Is engraved drinkware dishwasher-safe?

Yes — because the mark is part of the material, dishwashing has no effect on the engraving. The drinkware itself may have its own care requirements (some stainless tumblers are rated hand-wash, but that's a function of the lid hardware and the powder-coat finish, not the engraving).

Do you do full-color logos or only single-color engraving?

Laser engraving is single-tone by physics — the mark is the natural color the material turns when burned. If you need full-color brand reproduction on drinkware, sublimation on white-coated items is an alternative we can quote; for full-color apparel, use DTF printing.
