The model
How OTIA pricing works
Every piece OTIA produces uses the same pricing model. There is no separate model for first-time buyers, repeat buyers, large orders, or small orders. The math is identical whether you order 6 polos or 600 — and the per-piece price is the same at either quantity.
The promise
Flat per-piece pricing · same at any quantity · transparent decoration fee per location
OTIA prices custom apparel flat. The per-piece price you see on a product page is the per-piece price you pay — at qty 1, at qty 100, at qty 1,000. We do not run quantity-break tiers. We do not run setup fees on standard vector artwork. We do not run order minimums. The reason is simple: we run a digital decoration shop (DTF, embroidery, laser) in-house, so a 6-piece order does not require a separate workflow from a 600-piece order. Pricing should reflect that reality, and ours does.
Every per-piece price already includes the first decoration location — because you cannot order an undecorated garment from OTIA, so quoting bare-blank pricing as the floor would be misleading. The price you see on a product page is the price for that garment with one decoration on it. Adding a second or third decoration location adds a flat, transparent per-location fee — the calculator above shows the exact number for any combination. Embroidery is priced per placement area (left-chest logo, full-back logo, etc.) because stitch count and placement size drive material and machine time directly. Those rates are listed on the embroidery method page.
Multiply the per-piece unit price by your quantity and that is the line total. There are no rush surcharges on standard 72-hour production. There are no art fees on standard vector artwork. If you want to know the price for a specific order before you ever talk to us, use the calculator above — it runs the same math our quoting system runs and returns the exact number you would see on a written quote.

Examples use representative garment prices and the standard per-location decoration rate. Your actual quote may differ based on the specific garment, decoration method, and artwork.
By decoration method
How method affects the math
The garment-side of the price is identical across decoration methods. The decoration-side has one exception: embroidery is priced per placement area instead of a flat per-location fee, because stitch count and area drive real material and machine time.
DTF printing
Best for full-color graphics, photo-real artwork, and complex multi-color logos. Per-location flat rate; see calculator above.
Embroidery
Best for polos, hats, jackets, and any apparel where stitched texture matters. Priced per placement area (left chest, sleeve, full back, etc.); see the embroidery page for the rate card.
Laser engraving
Best for tumblers, mugs, plaques, awards, and promotional items where a clean monochrome mark is the look. Per-location flat rate; see calculator above.
By industry
What pricing looks like for your sector
The formula does not change by industry. What does change is the typical garment, the typical placement plan, and the order cadence. These are the pricing patterns we see most often, by sector.
Restaurants & hospitality
Front-of-house polos, BOH tees, aprons, and chef coats — the standard front-pocket logo lands at the same per-piece price whether you order for one shift or one season.
Corporate & office
New-hire welcome kits, executive jackets, sales-team polos. Same formula at 12 pieces (one team) or 600 (a full quarterly refresh).
Golf & country clubs
Tournament polos with chest plus sleeve sponsor, member-guest hats, pro-shop quarter-zips. Embroidery on polos and hats, DTF on hats and bags.
Schools & athletics
Spirit-wear tees, athletic-team uniforms, booster-club fundraisers. The flat per-unit rate keeps fundraising math clean.
Construction & trades
Hi-vis tees, durable hoodies, crew jackets with three-location decoration. The $4 additional-location rate keeps multi-placement orders on-budget.
Frequently asked
Pricing questions, answered
Fifteen of the questions we hear most often about how OTIA quotes, locks pricing, and handles edge cases.
How does OTIA pricing actually work?
Flat per-piece pricing. The price you see on a product page is the price you pay — the same at qty 1 or qty 1,000. Each per-piece price already includes one decoration location; additional locations add a transparent per-location fee. Embroidery is priced per placement area (e.g., left chest, full back) because stitch count and placement size drive material and machine time directly. The live calculator on this page returns the exact number for any combination.
What is included in the per-piece price?
The blank from our supplier, our restocking allowance for returns and defects, credit-card processing, the overhead of keeping the live catalog searchable and accurate, and the first decoration location — DTF, laser, screen-print, or one standard embroidery placement. Every per-piece price you see on the site is the all-in price for that garment with one decoration on it.
Why don't you have any order minimums?
Because the per-piece price is the same at any quantity. We run a digital decoration shop (DTF, embroidery, laser) in-house, so a 6-piece order does not require a separate workflow from a 600-piece order. We would rather take the small order, build the relationship, and earn the larger reorder than turn the customer away.
Why don't you charge setup fees?
Setup costs on standard vector artwork are real, but they are small and predictable, so we absorb them into the per-location decoration fee instead of itemizing them on the invoice. If your artwork requires hand-redrawing, vector tracing, or significant rework, our design team will flag the additional work before any charge is added — and you can decide whether to authorize it.
How does the artwork affect my price?
Standard vector artwork that is print-ready does not change the price — it just runs through the formula. Artwork that needs to be vectorized, redrawn, color-separated for screen-printing, or digitized for embroidery may add a one-time art charge. We tell you the exact art charge in writing before any work begins; you can also send us your files in advance for a free print-readiness check.
Do you charge a rush fee?
Standard production runs 72 hours from artwork approval, and that turnaround does not carry a surcharge. If you need delivery in less than 72 hours, ask — sometimes we can accommodate it inside our standard schedule for no extra charge, and sometimes a true rush requires a quoted fee that we agree on in writing before we start.
When does my pricing get locked in?
Pricing is locked when you approve the written quote and the deposit (if any) is received. From that point, your per-piece price will not change unless the order itself changes — additional pieces, an added decoration location, a substituted garment, or post-approval artwork changes are the typical reasons a quote would be revised.
Can my price change after I receive the quote?
Yes, but only for reasons that are tied to a change in the order. The most common ones: you add or subtract pieces, you swap the garment, you add a second or third decoration location, or your artwork is delivered in a form that needs additional preparation. We do not raise prices on you in the middle of production for reasons that are on our side.
How do you count decoration locations?
A decoration location is any single placement on the garment — left chest, right chest, full front, full back, sleeve, hood pouch, hat front, hat side, hat back, and so on. One graphic in one position equals one location. Two separate prints on the same piece (for example, left chest plus full back) is two locations — the per-piece price you see on the product page includes the first, and the second adds a transparent per-location fee. The calculator on this page shows the exact number for any combination.
Can I get a written quote before I commit?
Yes. Use the calculator on this page for an instant estimate, then click through to the quote request form to get a written quote with your specific garment, decoration method, quantity, and artwork plan. Written quotes are good for 14 days from the date issued.
Do you price-match competitors?
We do not run a formal price-match program. The published per-piece price is the price — if a competitor is meaningfully lower, it is usually because they are quoting a different garment, a lower-quality decoration method, longer turnaround, or a piece count we cannot match at our quality bar. Send us the competing quote and we will tell you honestly where the difference is.
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and ACH bank transfer through our Square checkout. Corporate purchase orders are accepted for established customers with approved net terms — contact us to set up an account.
Do you require a deposit?
Orders under $1,000 are typically paid in full at order approval. Orders of $1,000 or more require a 50% deposit at approval, with the balance due before shipping. Net-terms accounts are billed per the agreed-upon terms (typically Net 15 or Net 30).
Are taxes included in the quoted price?
No. Sales tax is added at checkout based on the ship-to address. New York orders are subject to NY state and local sales tax unless you provide a valid resale or tax-exempt certificate. We collect tax in every jurisdiction where we are registered; out-of-state delivery may be tax-free depending on the destination.
Is shipping included in the price?
No. Shipping is calculated based on weight, destination, and service level (Ground, 2-Day, Overnight) and is added at checkout or itemized on your quote. Local pickup at our Huntington, NY shop is free. We can ship to multiple addresses on a single order — split-ship handling fees vary based on the number of destinations.
